About the role:
- Rate of pay: £14.84 ph
- Hours of Work: 37 hours per week
- Duration: Full time ongoing for 3 months with a possible extension
- Location: Carrickfergus
- Public Sector
- Overtime, double time and triple time rates available from outset
- Please note closing date is Thursday 9th January 2025, however you can apply today and register your interest for other current or upcoming Council vacancies.
Duties:
- Provide general driving support to Operational Services to ensure that all refuse is removed from household, industrial and commercial premises such as houses, shops, schools, business premises for appropriate disposal
- Responsible for any vehicle, equipment, passengers etc. allocated for the purpose of waste collection, cleansing, recycling or other appropriate services.
Criteria:- Valid Category C Driving Licence
- Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) card
- A minimum of 1 years’ continuous LGV driving experience
- Please Note - Any penalty points active on the driving license must be declared along with the relevant code, these will then be assessed for relevance to the duties of the post
