• Bangor Library 15hpw (Permanent)
• Dundonald Library 10hpw (Permanent)
• Killyleagh Library 7hrs 30 minutes per week (Permanent)
• Downpatrick Library 7hrs 30 minutes per week (Permanent)
• Portaferry Library 8hpw (Temporary)*

*This is a temporary post, subject to review, dependent on business need, please note, this post may be extended, made permanent or terminated for any valid reason.

Supporting the provision of library resources and library services to our customers. All duties will be carried out in the working conditions normally inherent in the particular job. Cover colleagues on sick leave in line with Libraries NI procedure. Absence must be reported in line with Libraries NI Procedure and the relevant forms must be completed and signed by the Building Supervisor. When carrying out cleaning duties protective clothing or work issued wear must be worn. Flat-soled enclosed toe footwear should be worn when carrying out cleaning duties. Any cleaning equipment issued must be used and cared for in an appropriate and safe manner, with any defects being reported immediately. All necessary paperwork must be completed.

Duties will be carried out for jobs up to and including those in the same grade, provided such duties are within the competence of the employee. Terms and Conditions of employment are National Joint Council for local government and successful post holders will have access to:

This may be used for up to 12 months to fill the same or like vacancies with a similar job description and personnel specification and on the same salary scale, normally within the same location or department without further testing of merit.
