Accountant - Belfast - Temporary

Hays Accountancy and Finance are seeking an Accountant for our client on temporary basis. The role will include responsibilities such as - Support the Financial Accountant in financial management, ensure accuracy and effective operation of financial functions, and provide customer-responsive and cost-effective services.

Your new role

• Assist with account books.
• Develop and implement treasury strategies.
• Maintain partnerships with officers and teams.
• Review and recommend developments.
• Produce accurate reports and official returns.
• Manage Financial Control Section operations.
• Advise on investment and borrowing.
• Prepare accounts and develop projects.
• Administer and develop financial systems.
• Handle pension and tax accounts.
• Manage loans fund accounts and capital schemes.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. ACA, ACCA, or CIMA preferred.
• Financial accounting experience, ideally in public sector or education.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax compliance. Proficient in financial systems and MS Office.
