People Business Partner – Newry
MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with an organisation who are going from strength to strength, a leading organisation, who are currently seeking to appoint an People Business Manager on a permanent basis. This is a forward thinking company where for 6 months of the year it is a 4 day working week with full pay!
The role
The successful People Business Partner will report to the Managing Director and working closely with the wider Management team on a day-to-day basis. There is a lot of autonomy in the role, with the successful People Business Partner working within a team. The role will cover the entire generalist remit, including employee relations, recruitment & selection, talent management, learning and development, as well as designing and implementing new policies and procedures in line with current legislation.
The People Business Manager will also be responsible for identifying any training and development needs, keeping an employee competency database for succession planning and redeployment purposes. You will also work closely with the Senior and Middle management teams to embed organisational values and high performing culture, as well as supporting other strategic projects when required.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of an effective people strategy to aid in the success of the organisation
- Developing and delivering training programmes to support on the delivery of organisational goals
- Coaching management on all people matters
- Providing effective recruitment and retention solutions, in line with best HR practice
- Collating and analysing data on key metrics to identify trends and areas of improvement
- Management of disciplinary and grievances process while adhering to company procedures
The right fit
Suitable candidates must ideally be CIPD qualified, possessing a proven track record within an organisation where they have worked with senior team members.
This is a role that while operational, will have a key focus on the strategic direction of the business, therefore the successful candidate will have previous experience of influencing and building relationships at a senior level.
Key skills required:
- CIPD qualification
- Ideally degree educated
- 3 + years' HR Generalist experience at HR Officer level or above
- Ability to influence at a senior level
