Are you looking for a Part time role?

Sense are looking for Part Time Cleaner for our Care Services, in the Belfast area. Offering you an hourly rate of £11.64 and working Monday to Friday for 28 hours per week, to be discussed at interview.

This role will involve the general cleaning of both our Residential Services, one in Carrickfergus and one in Dunmurry, working 20 hours per week. There is also an additional 8 hours a week at our Day Centre, Meadowbank, in Carrickfergus. This will entail general cleaning duties including communal areas and residents bedrooms.

As part of this role, you will need to be able to transport yourself between locations.

Duties of Role
  • To provide the highest standards of cleanliness.
  • To maintain a hygienic and tidy standard of cleanliness by vacuuming, dusting/wiping, polishing, emptying bins and disinfecting toilets and sinks etc as necessary.
  • To ensure adequate levels of cleaning materials, toilet rolls etc are maintained by refilling dispensers and informing personnel responsible for ordering when required.
  • As required to clean all internal windows, skirting boards, windowsills, guide rails etc.
  • To maintain a safe environment at all times.
  • To comply with Health & Safety regulations.
  • To ensure that all materials are stored appropriately.
  • To report any broken/damaged equipment and maintenance issues to the appropriate person.
  • To ensure the premises safety & security is maintained.
  • To carry out any other duties consistent with the grade of the post

  • To be able to work to a daily schedule
  • Able to carry out cleaning tasks to a high standard.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to take and follow instructions.
  • A positive attitude towards people with disabilities.
  • To work flexibly
