Training Support Officer - Newtownabbey - Full Time

About the role:
- Rate of Pay: £13.16 per hour
- Position Type: Full-Time, temporary (until approximately June 2025)
- Location: Newtownabbey
- Leading local college
Key Responsibilities:
- Source Work Placements: Identify suitable work placements to enhance trainees’ learning experiences
- Monitor Progress: Track trainees and apprentices' attendance and performance
- Liaise with Stakeholders: Act as a vital link between trainees, employers and curriculum teams to address any issues and maintain high-quality provision
- Support Personal Training Plans: Assist trainees in executing their Personal Training Plans and achieving their qualifications
- Achieve Targets: Work diligently to meet NRC targets for monitoring visits and compliance with College and DfE regulations
Key Activities:
- Ensure that employers are informed about their responsibilities regarding apprenticeships and work placements
- Conduct on-the-job training
- Report and document accidents
- Regularly visit trainees and complete progress reviews on schedule
- Provide consistent feedback to curriculum teams and the Work-Based Learning Manager regarding trainees' progress
Criteria:
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant discipline
- GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade ‘C’ or above
- A minimum of two years’ experience in an administrative role
- Access to suitable transport for business purposes
- Strong collaboration skills
- Results-oriented mindset
- Personal determination to succeed
- As part of the reference checking and vetting process for this position you will be requested to undertake a Basic AccessNI Disclosure. Having a criminal record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position
