Your new role
As an Associate Structural Director, you will oversee project and business area management, including client relationships and team leadership. Prepare proposals, ensure quality project delivery, and mentor team members. Requires expertise in structural design, risk management, and effective communication
Specific Requirements:
Proficient in designing with Reinforced Concrete and Structural Steelwork.Strong understanding of current Eurocodes for structural design.Experience in assessing existing structures and designing new builds.Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to Health & Safety, design, and construction.Effective communication skills to convey messages within the team, to senior management, and to represent the company professionally to clients and external bodies.Ability to check and verify work to ensure it meets technical standards and is managed within budget and schedule constraints.
What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for the Associate Structural Director position, you must hold a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field. Additionally, you need to be a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of either the Institution of Structural Engineers (MIStructE) or the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE). A proven history of successfully leading large, diverse, and complex projects in the structures discipline, along with familiarity and experience in the local Belfast market, is essential.
