The role

The Early Year Quality Mentors (EYQMs) will be responsible for the programmatic development, delivery, co-ordination and quality assurance of the pre-school ASPIRE project across Northern Ireland and the border region of Ireland. The EYQMs will also contribute to the delivery of existing services and developments within the Early Years portfolio, with a clear focus on leading improvements within the sector.

To promote and support the development of early years settings, demonstrating a strong commitment to improvement and the ability to respond to expectations of the sector relating to outstanding practice. With a focus on clear, timebound evidence demonstrating sustained and high-level improvements to practice and / or leadership of a setting. To assume a central role in the translation of Shared Education polices into implementation actions within settings and demonstrate best practice in delivery.

To demonstrate a commitment to excellence in all the services provided by the organisation and to settings through specialist, highly effective and timebound support. Focusing on high quality learning and care for children, families and communities.

There are three roles available:

Location:

Role 1: Omagh/Enniskillen

Role 2: Dungannon area

Role 3: Southern or Western area Northern Ireland

A hybrid working policy is in place.

Hours: 37 hours per week (all 3 roles)

Tenure:

Role 1 & 2: permanent

Role 3: fixed term contract until 31 April 2026 with the potential to be extended subject to funding.
