My Client based BT6 area of Belfast requires a Part-time Medical Receptionist for 16 hours per week to join their team on a temporary basis with the view to becoming permanent.
Duties are as follows:
- General reception duties - greeting patients in person and on telephone, making, cancelling appointments, providing information regarding practice services,
- Entries into patient’s computer records as directed,
- Liaising with pharmacist, nursing homes, where required to provide repeat prescriptions when authorized
- Coordinating patient appointments, hospital letters, prescription requests and information with the Treatment Room nurses and other staff members to ensure procedures are effective, and patients’ and Doctors’ requirements are met in an efficient and accurate manner
- Diary management
- Maintain a tidy reception desk and public areas
- Organising, filing and maintaining patient records
Criteria:
- Previous reception experience essential (experience of working in a GP practice in an admin or reception role advantageous)
- Must be fully computer literate
- Excellent communication/ organisational skills essential
- Experience of entering data into databases, filtering data and generating reports
- Flexibility to cover holidays & sickness at short notice essential

Hours of work are
Tues 8.30am – 6pm, Thurs 2.30pm – 6pm & Fri 2pm – 6pm
Salary: £11.60 - £12 ph
