Job Title: Rural Regeneration Officer
Grade: Band 5 (SCP 20)
Location: Housing Centre, Belfast
Duration: Temporary, Full-Time

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, Mon-Fri (9-5)
Salary: £15.70 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of rural and regeneration programmes, including Small Pockets of Deprivation, Heritage in Housing, and Village Catalyst.
  • Manage programme budgets and ensure compliance with audit and reporting requirements.
  • Work with partners to support rural and regeneration programme delivery.
  • Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme outcomes to ensure value for money.
  • Maintain accurate records and update system databases.
  • Draft reports, committee papers, and responses to enquiries.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including government bodies, councils, and community organizations.
  • Provide high-quality customer service and manage queries.
  • Represent the team and support colleagues as required.

Essential Criteria:

  • Degree (Level 6) with at least 1 year of relevant experience, or HND (Level 5) with 2 years of experience, or 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in delivering housing/regeneration outcomes and working with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in managing budgets and using IT systems to process payments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
  • Access NI check.

Desirable:

  • Full UK driving license or access to transport for work-related travel.
