VANRATH are delighted to be assisting our client, a large and well-known Public Sector Organisation with the recruitment of a Good Relations Officer to join their team based in Newtownabbey.
This is a Full-Time Monday - Friday position. 37 hours per week. Monday - Friday 9 - 5.
Salary
£37,825 per annum, plus benefits.
The Good Relations Officer role will include leading the development, delivery, and review of a Good Relations Strategy and Action Plan, working to improve community relations and cultural diversity through strategic initiatives and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor the Good Relations Strategy in alignment with wider organisational plans.
- Manage budgets, ensure financial compliance, and prepare progress reports.
- Design and deliver programs that promote cultural diversity and address community needs.
- Build partnerships with government, community, and voluntary sectors to deliver impactful initiatives.
- Oversee and promote grant programs, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Provide advice on emerging issues, policies, and best practices to senior management.
- Deliver training and identify funding opportunities to enhance program impact.
The Ideal Person:
- Relevant degree or significant experience in programme management, policy development, and partnership building.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and deliver results.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of governance, funding opportunities, and community relations.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and ability to travel as required.
