Production Supervisor

MCS Group is proud to be partnered with an award-winning manufacturing company based in County Derry to recruit a Production Supervisor.

As the Production Supervisor, you will oversee the manufacturing operations, manage the production team, maintain high-quality standards, and implement continual improvements.

This is a hands-on role, reporting to the Production/Quality Manager and company directors.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily production of ice cream and sorbet.
• Ensure all products meet standards and specifications.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Manage HACCP systems and accurate record-keeping.
• Handle SALSA accreditation and external audits.
• Plan staff schedules and manage production rosters.
• Monitor costs and production yields to meet financial targets.
• Supervise and train production staff to uphold company standards.
• Assist with production planning to meet demand.
• Ensure a clean and organised working environment.

Essential Criteria

• A food-related degree or equivalent
• 3+ Years of relevant food manufacturing experience, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Intermediate or Advanced Food Hygiene qualification.
• Strong communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a production team.
