Civil Engineering Officer - Belfast

Civil Engineering Officer required to work with the Belfast City Council based in Linenhall Street.
The role will offer full-time hours working Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm with an hourly rate of £19.35. Initially the position will be on a temporary basis for 3 months with the possibility of an extension based on job performance.
The main duties include assisting with the supervision of the annual small works civil engineering tender to ensure all work is completed to agreed quality, time and budget targets, providing specialist civil engineering knowledge and advice, assisting with preparation contracts, implementation and maintenance of a parks pathways, roadways and hard surfaces inspection systems, carry out land
surveys when required and prepare associated drawings and preparing technical reports.

What We Need From You

• Must have third level qualification in Civil Engineering
• Possess a full, current UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
• One year relevant experience gained in the workplace environment in three of the five areas:
  - On-site supervision of contractors in construction environment
  - Detailed construction phase record keeping
  - CDM knowledge
  - Competent in the use of AutoCAD/ MS Office
  - Knowledge of method statements/risk assessment
