The Role:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the company’s core Guidewire Claims Center product. This role offers the chance to develop your expertise in niche technologies and methodologies, while being part of a supportive, growth-focused team. Previous Guidewire experience is NOT essential for this role.
You’ll engage in:
- Thorough testing: Conducting rigorous manual testing across APIs, databases, and network systems.
- Efficiency-focused processes: Ensuring testing processes are optimised and aligned with team objectives.
- Collaboration and ceremonies: Active participation in scrum ceremonies to drive effective collaboration.
- Technical product involvement: Gaining exposure to cutting-edge, closed-source technology within a highly skilled team.
Core Technologies & Tools:
You’ll be working with:
- Essential Tools: Postman, SOAP, SOAP UI.
- Version Control & Containers: Git/GitHub, Podman, Docker.
- Code Editors: VS Code, IntelliJ (not Eclipse).
- Niche Tech Exposure: Opportunity to develop skills in Guidewire technology through specialised training.
Your Growth Journey:
- Short Term: Learn the product and core technical skills with guidance from your mentors and managers, Jorge and Pete. Build strong communication channels and integrate into the team.
- Long Term: Grow into an expert-level team member, contributing to API testing advancements and automation initiatives in 2025.
