- THE ROLE -
The University wishes to appoint an outstanding leader to the position of Director of INCORE to oversee the leadership and strategic direction of INCORE. Based on the University’s Derry-Londonderry campus, the successful applicant will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of INCORE that includes:
- Undertaking programmes of research and scholarship which are interdisciplinary and contribute significantly to the global field of peace and conflict research, while directly influencing local and international policy makers.
- Providing education programmes characterised by quality and innovation in both design and delivery, which will encourage interaction and learning between policy makers, practitioners and academics working in the field of conflict management and peace-building.
- ABOUT YOU -
- You will lead the development of a strategic plan for INCORE and oversee its successful implementation.
- You will successfully manage and develop INCORE’s core activities.
- You will provide line management and supervision for the staff of INCORE.
- You will lead and support the development and maintenance of collaborative relationships, with a wide range of external organisations regionally, nationally and internationally.
- You will lead the development of high-quality research proposals from members of INCORE, in collaboration with external partners, for submission to a range of funding sources, particularly UKRI and other peer-reviewed research funding bodies.
