This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact compliance project lasting 6-12 months, with the potential for extension. The role can be undertaken remotely or in a hybrid model, depending on your preference.

As a Senior Compliance Consultant, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence and background checks to ensure adherence to fitness and probity standards in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage submissions and approvals for high-level roles, including annual refreshes, ensuring compliance with central bank standards.
• Mitigate risks by validating credentials, performing criminal background checks, and conducting adverse media searches.
• Maintain accurate and secure records of compliance activities, reporting findings to senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with consultants to implement robust compliance processes and perform due diligence tasks.
• Safeguard the confidentiality and security of sensitive data and documentation.
• Engage with clients to understand project requirements and deliver tailored compliance solutions.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• A law degree or a relevant professional qualification.
• Experience in a compliance or regulatory function, ideally within banking or financial services.
• Expertise in regulatory checks for initial appointments, annual recertifications, and specific controlled functions (PCF, CF1, CF2).
• A proven track record of setting up operations for fitness and probity checks.
• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• The ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
