Our client is a vibrant, successful and growing family
business within the agri / horticulture sector in Northern Ireland. As an independent, family run business,
they have carved out a successful niche as a supplier of choice. Due to ongoing
expansion, a superb opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Team
Leader to play a key role in the current and future growth and success of the
business.
This will be
both a hands-on role and as such the successful applicant will be equally
comfortable in front of the owners and agri/horticulture staff. Excellent
communication skills will be essential as will the desire to build a long-term
career with a company that will reward excellence and performance.
KEY DUTIES
- Plan, organise, direct and supervise
the growing of flowers and vegetables
Supervise 10-15 staff in the
flowers and vegetables growing department
Ensuring
all necessary quality paperwork is completed in a timely manner
Provide
“hands on” assistance working within the horticulture department to include
planting, spraying, harvesting etc
Maintain records and
documents as required
Motivate and help direct the
team to achieve company targets
THE PERSON
- A minimum of 1-2
years’ experience as a Team Leader/Supervisor ideally within the agri or horticulture
sector
Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent
people management and motivational skills
Strong IT and
paperwork skills

SALARY
An attractive hourly rate of around £15 per hour (+overtime) will be on
offer to the successful candidate.
