My client is a large long-established manufacturer and
supplier of high-quality shower doors and bath screens to trade and retail
showrooms across Ireland. They pride themselves in creating quality shower products
through innovative design and advanced production techniques to be the brand of
choice.
They have an exciting opportunity for a full-time permanent Service
Engineer / Installer to join their team to focus on clients based in
Northern Ireland. You will be involved in the installation, servicing and
maintenance of doors, cubicles and fittings across the province. You will
install new products for display in showrooms, work with trade customers
on-site and occasionally visit customer homes to resolve service or maintenance
issues.
The role will involve a full, 6-month technical induction
and training programme to enable you to gain experience and knowledge with the
company’s entire product offering.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Installing
Shower Doors, Enclosures, Trays etc from the company product range to an
excellent standard.- As an expert installer you’ll provide technical
support with the Aftersales Department.
- Manage service
calls: Arrange visit with homeowner, identify the problem, carry out the repair
work and/or recommend best solution to the installer and complete paperwork.
- Handle phone
calls on installation queries from trade customers and end user installers.
- Be an
ambassador for the business maintaining a positive attitude when faced with
challenging circumstances or frustrated end-customers.
- Provide
feedback to the Quality Control and Design departments.
- Deliver product
training in the company’s HQ to trade and professional installers.
- Working as
part of a dynamic team; supporting the sales, technical, design and quality
control departments
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience
as Service Engineer, Plumber, Carpenter, Joiner or technical trades person
- Site CSR
Pass / Safe Pass (Training will be provided if successful candidate does not
have)
- Excellent
communicator with the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to
act using your own initiative and make informed decisions, real eye for detail.
- Good
computer skills a benefit but not compulsory
- A desire
to learn about our products, systems and customers
Attractive starting salary of £30,000 to £35,000 negotiable to reflect experience.
