Quantity Surveyor
CPL have partnered with Northern Ireland Civil Service (NICS) to recruit for a Quantity Surveyor (SO Grade) to join their team on a temporary contract of 6 - 12 months, with possibility of extension.
· Pay Rate - £17.94 per/hr
· Location – DoF, CPD Property Services Branch - Clare House
· Benefits – 37 days holiday per annum
· Hours – 37 hours per week
While the precise duties and responsibilities of a HPTO Quantity Surveying post will vary, it will involve varying degrees of the following activities / responsibilities: -
· Assist in the delivery of a wide range of pre and post contract quantity surveying services (estimating/cost planning, assessing interim payments, agreeing final accounts, advising re contractual issues etc.) to multi-disciplinary in-house construction project teams and clients.
· Assist in the preparation of contract documentation and analysis of tenders.
· Assisting in the procurement and management of external consultants and contractors on construction projects.
· Assist in the monitoring and reporting on contract Key Performance Indicators.
· Any other relevant duties as required by line management.
Desired Experience/Qualifications
· Working knowledge of PSA Schedule of Rates
AND
· Have a Degree in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying; OR (ii). Have an HND in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, in Quantity Surveying; OR (iii). Have an HNC in Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 4 years’ experience in Quantity Surveying
Relevant or Equivalent Qualifications
Applications will also be considered from applicants with relevant formal qualifications considered to be of an equivalent or higher standard to those stated.
