Practice Manager, South Belfast, 25 – 30hrs per week (Flexible on hours). Our client is a successful, leading private healthcare
provider based in South Belfast. They wish to recruit an experienced practice
manager to join their busy, professional team.
The successful candidate will:
1.
Be responsible for the overall management of the medical
practice with the Responsible Officer and Directors and ensure smooth day to
day running.
2.
To
be the RQIA Registered Manager. understand the requirements of RQIA in relation
to the day to day management of the facility and policies and procedures
regarding inspections.
3.
Have the ability to work effectively with all levels of the
organisation. The ability to take initiative and to exercise independent
judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Operational
·
Oversee day to day running of the clinic with accountability for team
performance and patient satisfaction.
·
Oversee staff rosters ensuring clinic is properly staffed at all
times.
·
Active management of clinic schedules/room bookings to ensure clinic is
running at optimum levels.
·
Responsibility for increasing utilisation and clinic productivity in
conjunction with the Directors.
·
Responsible for the facilities management, equipment and costs
associated with the clinics.
·
Oversight of clinic stock orders and deliveries/maintaining stock
control/accounts to ensure local cost efficiencies.
·
Ensure that appropriate insurance cover is in place for all
activities/equipment
·
Ensure IT systems are fit for purpose
·
Data protection & GDPR – ensure compliance with legislation
·
Undertake any reception duties, including weekends or out of hours, as
required.
Governance,
Quality & Safety
· Ensure clinical and
non-clinical governance is effective and well managed
·
Responsible for ensuring excellence in service through the efficient
management of patients through the clinic
·
Dealing with customer complaints/concerns
·
Ensuring adherence to all company policies, procedures, protocols, and
guidelines
·
Maintaining RQIA standards by ensuring staff awareness of company
policies.
·
Ensuring Health & Safety procedures are adhered to.
·
Ensure all consultants with practicing privileges provide relevant
information in relation to GMC Good Medical Practice
Human
Resources
·
Recruiting, hiring, induction and development of personnel.
·
Completing annual performance evaluations for all staff
·
Maintain effective working relationships
Finance
·
Manage and monitor the practices finances.
·
Effect use of Quickbooks for accounts payable and
receivable
·
Monthly bank reconciliation
·
Liaise with MH accountants to provide timely
information in relation to VAT returns and annual accounts.
Skills / Experience
below:
· 4 years experience
working in a healthcare environment is essential.
· Team leading/Team Management
· Experience of HR Management,
managing and developing a small team including appraisals, and training.
·
Working
with clinicians
·
Knowledge
of RQIA framework, inspections & requirements
·
Knowledge
of GMC Good Medical Practice
·
Experience
of using Quickbooks
· Competent in the use
of Microsoft Office (including Excel)
· Effective
communication skills
· Excellent planning and
organisational skills
· Maintains
