VANRATH are pleased to be partnered with a leading organisation in NI who are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team on an initial interim contract for 6+ months, with the opportunity to extend to a permanent position. This role can offer an experienced finance professional the next step in their career within the public sector.

28k-30k SALARY

The Ideal Person

  • Proven experience of accounts payable and general accounting experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven experience in driving problems to a resolution
  • Extensive experience raising POs
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with vendors, management, and auditors

Responsibilities

As an AP Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing vendor invoices, record invoices according to company policy.
  • Maintaining accuracy in processing of AP transactions, including accounting coding, timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Managing POs
  • Preparing weekly payments to vendors and employees
  • Review, verify and process employee expense reports
