Production Manager (Manufacturing) - Ballymena - Permanent

Our client has been a trusted name in chemical processing for years. Based in Ballymena, they are now looking for an ambitious and motivated Production Manager to lead their team, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and quality.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career, ready to take the next step in production management and grow with a company that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Work Schedule & Salary:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (40 hours per week). Flexibility is essential for operational needs.
- Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

What You'll Do:
Production Planning & Execution
- Develop and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate with supply chain and logistics teams to ensure raw materials are ready for production.
- Monitor production metrics and adjust processes to maximize efficiency.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Ensure all products meet stringent quality standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team for routine inspections and testing.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Process Optimisation & Continuous Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to production processes to reduce waste and enhance efficiency.
- Update and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Team Management & Development
- Lead and manage production staff, handling scheduling, task allocation, and performance reviews.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills.
- Foster a positive, safety-first culture focused on collaboration and excellence.
Health, Safety, & Environmental Management
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and emergency response training.
- Ensure full compliance with all HSE policies and procedures.
Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain accurate production records and generate performance reports for senior management.
- Manage inventory levels, reducing waste while ensuring stock availability.
What You Bring:
- 1 - 3 years of experience in manufacturing or production, ideally in the chemical or coagulant industry.
- Knowledge of production management software and ERP systems.
- Familiarity with quality control systems and regulatory compliance in chemical manufacturing.
