Reed is assisting in the appointment of a newly created Group Financial Controller role for a recognisable retail group in Belfast.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director and managing a small team, we’re seeking an ambitious individual with established leadership and technical skills to assume this key role.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Managing, mentoring and motivating the small finance team
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of the of monthly management accounts to the board of Directors with insights
• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of annual budgets and forecasts
• Preparation of year end packs for external auditors and annual statutory accounts
• Develop and implement internal financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems
• Monthly cash flow analysis and Re-forecasting
• Management of day-to-day financial activities
• Act as a key partner to the other Heads of Departments in strategic and operational areas of the business.
• To drive continuous improvement both in the department and wider business.

About you!

• A Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, or equivalent) preferably with experience in a growing SME
• Commercially astute and able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Established management/leadership skills
• Highly motivated and can lead and positively influence others
