- THE ROLE -

The post holder will be responsible for a delegated portfolio of externally funded awards and be responsible for the post award financial and administrative activities for those awards. Working closely with the Claims Officer, the post holder will provide visible support to the Faculties, Schools and Principal Investigators, applying a detailed and expert knowledge of post-award activities, procedures and processes. They will support the maintenance of systems and procedures for identifying, collecting, controlling, and reporting financial information associated with external grants. They will also prepare and submit claims as necessary for all externally funded grants. The post-holder will use their initiative to maximise income by liaising and maintaining strong relations with internal staff.

- ABOUT YOU -

1. You will work independently to manage a portfolio of external awards from various funding bodies ensuring compliance with the University's accounting principles, financial guidelines, policies and procedures and funding body terms and conditions.

2. You will provide post-award project management support on external research awards grants, including setting up awards, maintaining project files, working with colleagues to resolve issues arising from claims submitted.

3. You will work with the Research and Impact colleagues and other Professional Services departments to ensure policies are not obstructive to research performance.
