Dual Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Are you an experienced engineer with strong electrical maintenance expertise? We’re looking for a proactive individual to join our clients team and help ensure our operations run efficiently with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct planned and reactive maintenance to minimise disruptions to production.
- Accurately document all maintenance activities.
- Take the lead on projects involving new machinery and equipment installation.
- Provide technical guidance and support across various departments.
- Identify and resolve key maintenance challenges, driving continuous improvement efforts.
- Offer mentorship and training to apprentices, fostering the next generation of talent.
About You:
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Time-served electrician, holding an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, with strong mechanical abilities and at least 2 years of post-apprenticeship experience.
- Prior experience in a maintenance role, ideally within the food production sector.
- In-depth knowledge of single and three-phase electrical systems and installations.
- Skilled in diagnosing faults in electrical control circuits, as well as mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment.
- Familiarity with PLC systems and the ability to configure and program motor inverters, temperature controllers, counters, and timers.
- Hands-on experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Competent in interpreting electrical and mechanical schematics.
Desirable Skills:
- Welding and fabrication experience (TIG preferred).
- Valid UK driving license.
- 17th or 18th Edition electrical qualifications.
