VANRATH are assisting with the recruitment of a Procurement Officer for a major company that specialises in Supply, Distribution and Food Manufacturing.
This is a Full-time position.
Permanent position - Monday - Friday - Position of work is Ballymena.

Responsibilities:
The Pig Procurement Officer will be responsible for assisting the procurement department with procurement and administrative duties.
- Liaise with farmers
- Farm Visits
- Statutory Government returns
- Reports and weekly summaries for onward communication for the Finance department
- Quality Assurance
- Administrative duties
- Pig payments
- Plan delivery times and organize the following day’s production
- Manage and update producer database and daily spreadsheets
The Ideal Person:
- Fully competent in Microsoft Office packages
- A confident and motivated approach to new challenges
- A willingness to learn new areas and get involved within the factory
- The ability to challenge and to look for different solutions and opportunities
- Have an acute attention to detail
- Have effective communication skills
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience working within the food industry
