Starting asap my Client based BT12 area of Belfast require a full-time Medical Receptionist to cover maternity leave this will run for 9 months to 1 year.
The purpose of the role is to offer comprehensive assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Duties
- Meeting & greeting patients to the surgery
- Answer telephone calls
- Organising appointments
- Organising prescriptions
- Liaising with hospitals
- Passing on results to patients
- General administration.
- To be aware of GDPR / the Data Protection Act and of its importance and relevance to
- General Practice and to take part in any training as appropriate.

Essential Criteria
- Previous experience in a customer facing role including telephone is essential
- Excellent communication & organisational skills
- Fully computer literate
- 5 GCSE’s including English & Maths @ grade A-C or equivalent
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
Desirable Criteria
- Previous experience in a Health Service/ GP Surgery advantageous
Hours of work - 36 per week - Mon, Tues 9am -6pm, Wed 9am – 1pm, Thurs & Fri 9am – 6pm
£11.71 per hour
