Randstad has an opportunity available for an experienced Estate Manager to join the team at Belfast Metropolitan College.
The Estate Manager will manage, develop and operate all functions through the major areas of the College Estate. They shall provide advice and guidance relating to matters of compliance, operation and development of the Colleges existing and future Estate, including the analysis of the College's Estate with respect to fitness for purpose, efficiency and space utilisation and development potential.

Requirements
- Hold a relevant degree, plus three years post qualification experience in one of the following subjects; Facilities Management, Building Surveying, Architectural Technology.
- OR Hold a relevant HND plus four years post qualification experience in one of the following subjects; Facilities Management, Building Surveying, Architectural Technology.
- Understanding of the following areas: PFI/PPP contracts, Health and Safety, Quality Accreditation, Land and rent Legal matters
- Be fully conversant with the use of Microsoft Office systems (including Access, Project, and Autodesk AutoCAD software).
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stake holders
- Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting (including an enhanced access NI check) and compliance due to the nature of this work.
Responsibilities
- To manage effectively the areas of all Estate site management including --estate development, operational and governance activities.
- To take responsibility for the implementation of the department's strategic/operational plan.
- To identify, manage and lead staff teams for all delegated Estate & FM site and activities.
- To identify training needs for all line managed staff, the Department, and the College.
- To participate in the selection, induction and probation of staff, in line with relevant College policies and procedures.
- To be responsible for the development, implementation, management and administration of relevant Estate & FM Strategies and Operational Plans to ensure the highest standards of Estate & FM,
- To contribute to the production of the College Estate Strategy and the College Development Plan and implement the College Operational Plan for their specific functional area and sites.
- To be responsible for co-ordination, production, and presentation of the Estate Facilities Management reports for each site and for the Estate & Facilities Management Departmental Meeting.
- To contribute to the creation of Estate Facilities Strategies to ensure Statutory compliance, Estate Development (Capital and Revenue) and Estate Operational functions.
