Are you looking for a Project Planner role? Interested in working for a leading Main Contractor that work on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors?

VANRATH are recruiting a Project Planner to work on various Construction projects for a leading Main Contractor based in Belfast.

Client
Our client is a leading, award-winning Main Contractor that operate across a range of sectors delivering outstanding projects up to circa £70m in value. They carry out new build, refurbishment and fit-out projects across the UK within multiple sectors including hospitality, leisure, education, residential and high residential.

Summary of the Role:
To assist in the preparation of programmes (tender/construction) and the distribution of drawings and information to site construction teams.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Assist & prepare Tender Programme into Master Construction Programme
  • Liaise with Planning Manager / Construction Director / Contract Manager to finalise Master Programmes and produce stage / section programmes as required
  • Report against Master Programme to Contract Directors and Senior Management
  • Modify Master Programme to Mitigate against delays
  • Advise Site Management of Programme Slippage
  • Prepare Tender Programmes and Method Statements as required
  • Assist in the preparation of project logistics and method statements
  • Periodically review key projects to ensure programme compliance
  • Maintain a database of programmes on Gateway
  • Establish, maintain and build good relations with clients as well as their representatives
  • Ensure waste minimisation is applied in the administration, co-ordination and planning of the project in line with the Company’s Waste Minimisation and Management Policy.
  • Maintain relevant quality, environmental health and control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001 and OHSAS 45001
  • Be aware of and comply with the Company’s Health & Safety Policy
  • Fulfil company CPD requirements undertaking all relevant training and development activities as required.

The Ideal Person:

  • Degree Qualified or other relevant qualifications
  • Proficient in the use of Asta Power Project software and / or Microsoft Project
  • 3 years’ experience successfully planning and co-ordination of a project
  • Understanding of the construction processes and sequencing
  • Good understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract documents and specifications
  • Tendering / Bid experience
  • Possess on-site / live project experience
  • Relevant technical knowledge
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Preparing and presenting reports to Senior Management and Clients
  • Main Contractor experience
