Location: Foyle Street Derry/Londonderry
Duration: A period of 6 months which may be extended or ended earlier as determined by business needs.
Hours of work: 9 to 5; Monday to Friday - Hybrid working available after training
Rate of pay: £14.50 per Hour - Weekly pay
Main Duties:
Fully participate in the implementation of the McCloud Remedy to the existing pensions system.
Ensure timely response to member queries within Timeframes.
Attend any relevant training, development, contributing to business performance and improvement of the branch.
Comply with Departmental policy in relation to Equal Opportunities, Fair Employment, H&S at Work and Promoting Mutual Respect etc.
Manage and implement change process as a result of legislative change including training and system development work streams.
Maintain stakeholder relationships to support delivery of business outcomes - IT system provider, IT support functions, NICSHR and Audit etc.
Support Pensions Team in managing and implementing change process as a result of legislative change, including training and system development work streams.
Ensuring that all deadlines are met.
Ensure that the GDPR policy is adhered to.
Manage work trays to ensure that work is cleared accurately and efficiently.
Oversee the maintenance of accurate records for outgoing and incoming post to ensure teacher data integrity.
Oversee a team of Administrative Officers ensuring steady workflow and duties.
Provide administrative support and take part in the production of accurate, timely and verified pension payroll within set monthly deadlines.
Ensure that all performance management documents are maintained.
Regular checks to ensure all staff system accesses meet audit requirements.
Provide oral and written advice to senior managers on TPT matters including enquiries/complaints etc.
Plan and implement fair deployment throughout Pensions Team to provide adequate cover between 9.00am and 5.00pm daily.
Ensure timely response to member queries within Timeframes.
Plan and guide performance and improvement activity of own sections, including all aspects of human resource management.
Manage communications within own sections and upwards and outwards.
Checking and authorising any data cleansing updates made.
Checking and authorising process benefit calculations.
Checking and authorising process recalculations.
Checking responses to specific member queries.
Gain a knowledge of all aspects of the work within the Business Area to provide flexibility within the Team.
Ad-hoc duties.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English and 2 A Levels in separate subjects (Must be able to show proof, please do not apply if you do not have this)
- Must complete an Access NI- At least 12 months working within an office environment.
- 6 months working within a public sector pension scheme.
