Client:
Our client is a leading commercial fit-out contractor based in Co. Down, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of commercial fit-out projects across various sectors including retail, hospitality, offices, pharmaceutical, education and other commercial buildings.

The business has a great reputation for consistently delivering outstanding results that exceed client expectations and continue to win repeat business.

They are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-end fitout projects in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Budget preparation, cost reporting, cash flow forecasting and preparing final accounts
• Understand contractual agreements, advising the project team and clients on legal matters and disputes
• Prepare supporting documentation for the client and their consultants
• Subcontract purchasing and monitoring of packages to include on-site remeasurement, interim and final account payments
• Provide commercial support to the estimating and manufacturing teams
• Liaise closely with the site manager & project manager to record all variations, change requests & instructions
• Develop and maintain relationships with the client & stakeholders. Attend site meetings (occasional travel required)
• Promote best practice in Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards

The Ideal Person:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years’ experience (preferably in fitout)
• Previous experience in design & build (M&E and Architectural finishes)
• Knowledge of building regulations and guidelines
• Excellent communications skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Contractual background
• Positive and self-sufficient attitude
• Strong communication skills
• Full driving license
