As GRAHAM continues to expand, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Building Services Manager for our operations in Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive technical expertise across various systems, including electrical, mechanical, controls, high voltage, fire, security, water treatment, and network systems. They will serve as a pivotal technical resource within the regional team, with a strong foundation in developing outline interface schedules for building systems.
The Building Services Manager will demonstrate proficiency in establishing and overseeing process controls throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases.
This includes:
- Implementing cost control processes to ensure adherence to project budgets.
- Managing design and construction change processes, ensuring proper documentation and client agreement on deviations/non-compliance.
- Effectively targeting and managing program/resources.
- Maintaining necessary management and record processes for compliance with Building Control.
The role requires adept client relationship management skills, enabling constructive critique of designs to streamline project phases. The candidate will engage clients throughout the construction process, developing training and familiarisation strategies to facilitate seamless handovers.
Furthermore, the candidate should provide innovative solutions to construction and operational challenges, possess detailed knowledge of commissioning processes, and foster strong relationships with trade contractors and civil construction teams. Mentoring of team members and effective knowledge transfer to non-technical staff are also vital aspects of this role.
Technical Competencies
Essential
Minimum of 10 years in the construction industry with at least 3 years in a senior role
Desirable
Experience of building operations would be an advantage.
