The role:
- Recruit, lead and develop staff to effectively manager their teams contributing to high levels of employee engagement
- Implement and review training and development programmes for employees
- Work in partnership with management to provide guidance, advice and support on HR Matter and ensure correct approach to: employee relations, recruitment, absence management, management systems and training and development
- Identify HR priorities from corporate priorities, business plans and risk registers and translate this to effective HR practise and effective people management
- Act as the first point of contact for managers and all unions for operational matters
- Maintain up to date workforce metrics
- Provide guidance and input on restructures and workplace planning
- Assist the L&D function in the identification of training needs for departments
- Keep abreast of changes in Employment legislation and best practice and amend HR policies as appropriate
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
- CIPD level 5 and working towards CIPD level 7
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the following:
- Providing HR Advice and guidance
- ER
- Strong record of implementing HR policy
- Working in partnership with a range of stakeholders – managers, trade unions and employees
- Managing conflict
