Location: Belfast City Centre
Contract: Initial Interim Contract until 31st May 2025
Salary: £34,524

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in policy development, legislation, or socio-economic research to play a pivotal role in influencing key initiatives.

The Role:

As a Policy Officer, you will:

• Collaborate with senior team members to develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive public policy and legislative reform agendas.
• Provide robust advice on public policy and legislative developments to further organisational goals.
• Engage with stakeholders and decision-makers to advocate for and implement strategic priorities.
• Manage allocated projects, ensuring objectives are met efficiently and effectively.
• Contribute to the development and review of corporate strategies, plans, and policies.

The Ideal Candidate:

• A third-level qualification or equivalent professional qualification relevant to social policy, public policy, or socio-economic research.
• At least two years of experience in public policy or legislative development, delivering change interventions, or socio-economic research.
• Proven ability to develop compelling arguments and present to targeted audiences.
• Strong project management skills to plan, deliver, and evaluate outcomes.
• Knowledge of public policy-making processes and socio-economic issues would be advantageous.
