We offer
an exciting opportunity to join our Supply Chain Department at our Belfast site.
Principal
accountabilities:
·
To produce monthly forecasts of the material spend for the next month
and the next quarter. This requires evaluation of each programme delivery
status and modelling the associated spend patterns and transients.
·
To monitor the actual spend against previous forecasts and analyse major
differences. Ongoing reconciliation of the actual spend to the budget and
forecast spend is required, along with rationalisation of major deviations.

Monitoring attrition levels.
·
To produce the annual BAC material budget for all contracts. This
involves utilising information from Procurement, Programmes and Contracts, and
extracting stock, WIP and lead-time data from the MAXIM system.
·
To monitor the Utilised Assets trends. A governance process must be
implemented to track the levels of utilised assets, set targets for the same,
and report the monthly status to management.

To provide various system and BUM analysis capabilities for other
functions, both internal and external to the Department. Fulfilling the above
material spend and utilised asset functions requires significant data analysis
and system knowledge. This service is often required for miscellaneous analyses
for other functions (e.g. Methods, Procurement, BTS etc.).

To assist in the development and implementation of new systems designed
to improve the efficiency of Work and Material Planning
Candidate Requirements
It is the responsibility of applicants to ensure that

Essential:

The jobholder should be educated to at least degree level, preferably
with an appropriate post-graduate qualification.
·
Knowledge of various data analysis tools e.g. writing software and using
PC data handling and presentation packages, a high level of understanding
around the Microsoft package, in depth Excel knowledge essential, MS access or
SQL working understanding required.
·
Be able to work unsupervised, to quickly understand new processes and/or
methodology and to show the level of intuition required to analyse and resolve
varied complex issues
·
The job holder should be prepared to become involved in new projects
designed to improve efficiency and enhance system capabilities, using requisite
skills to maximise opportunities.
