About role
The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and
Information Recovery (ICRIR) is recruiting an Adviser to join its Strategy Team
within the newly established Strategy, Planning, and Performance Directorate.
The role involves leading and supporting key workstreams to achieve the
Commission's objectives, with a focus on policy and strategy development for
the Historical Record and reconciliation initiatives. Responsibilities include
evidence-based policy-making, fostering societal relationships, and implementing
innovative strategic approaches. This is a critical time to join the team as
the Commission begins operations, offering an exciting opportunity to
contribute to impactful work.
Responsibilities
- Communication management: Act as the first point of
contact for internal and external communications, ensuring that enquires are
address promptly and professionally.
- Documentation and record-keeping: Maintain accurate and
up-to-date records, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and other
essential documentation.
- Data management: Assist with data entry, management,
and reporting, ensuring that all data is handled in accordance with the
commissions policies and procedures.
- Event coordination: Support the planning and execution
of events, workshops, and meetings, ensuring all logistical aspects are
covered.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other team
members to support the achievement of departmental goals and contribute to the
overall success of the Commission.
Essential Criteria
- Proven experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a public sector or similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and familiarity with other relevant software and tools (for example, sharepoint).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Demonstrate the values set out in the ICRIR Code of Conduct.
- Willingness to be assessed against the requirements for SC clearance, if not already cleared.
Desirable Criteria
- Level 6 qualification in Politics, International Relations, Law or similar field
- Experience of working in a public sector or public affairs environment
