Job Title: HR Generalist 

Contract: 12 Month Maternity Leave Cover Contract

Reporting to: Service Delivery Director - TEG

Key Stakeholders across TEG

·      Group People Experience Team

·      Director & Associate Director Business Leaders

·      Service Delivery Teams

·      Centre of Excellence

Location: Hybrid Woking with Responsibility across multiple locations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. There will be required to travel to client sites occasionally

Role Overview:

To champion the people and commercial agenda across multiple client sites creating a professional and profitable profile and a positive working environment for all Cpl resources while ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory legislation and industry best practice. The job holder will be an integral part of the business and will need to understand every aspect of the business and have high level of commercial acumen.

Key Responsibilities  

·      Provide transactional support to both Service Delivery teams with a strong focus on change management initiatives, organisational restructures, outsourcing, TUPE transfers, redundancy, disciplinary and absence management solutions.

·      Support and empower a team of high performing and engaged Service Delivery Managers on all people related matters.

·      Provide support and coaching to Service Delivery Managers on human resource issues relating to the agency and contractor teams on site in ROI and NI, ensuring accurate and timely resolution and documentation of concerns or issues.

·      Support employees on any human resource issues or queries they may have and facilitating actions to resolve these in a timely manner.

·      Delivering HR inductions on client sites to ensure a positive employee experience for all agency and contractor teams.

·      Delivering HR service through our dedicated onsite HR Connect Clinics.

·      Supporting administration around agency and contractor’s compliance.

·      Work with the CoE (Centre of Excellence) team to develop and implement clear guidance for agency and contractor workers on all statutory leave requirements, holiday and other elements that impact the employee experience.

·      Support COE team with Helpdesk HR queries (Leave - Maternity, Paternity, Compassionate, Bank holiday, Annual Leave)

·      OH/Risk Assessments – support with arranging appointments, referrals to appointed Occupational Health Advisor

·      Supporting with interviews when/if required

·      Supporting with Projects across the group (Process improvement projects)

·      Support with managing Manual Handling Training

Skills/Experience/Competencies Required:

·      CIPD qualified

·      At least 3+ years’ HR operational experience

·      Strong business acumen and a commercially minded self-starter

·      Good understanding and practical experience employment legislation in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

·      Demonstrated excellent administration, communication & business writing skills with strong attention to detail

·      Strong project management

·      Ability to multi-task and yet maintain standard/quality on all tasks

·      Demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, process improvement orientation

·      Demonstrated ability to meet Service Level Agreements/metrics

·      Strong presentation skills

·      Ability to communicate effectively, confidently and with impact with people at all levels of the business

·      IT literate

·      Team player with the ability to also work on own initiative.

·      Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish credibility with Business Directors, Client Stakeholders / Senior

Management and employees

·      Strong customer focus attitude

·      A professional approach, flexible, open to change

·      Ability to cope with pressure of peak workloads through good planning and time management skills
