Employer Liaison Officer
Salary £33,945 to £35,745 per annum
NILGOSC is the largest pension fund in Northern Ireland and we are looking for a new member of staff to join the team and help us provide an excellent service to our members.
The Role: you will be working in a busy office environment and will work within the Pensions Development Team to provide employers with technical support on administering the Local Government Pension Scheme for Northern Ireland (LGPS NI). Duties will include:
- providing seminars/webinars for employers, members and other stakeholders
- providing expert advice, guidance and technical support to staff as well as to employers, members and other external stakeholders
- liaising with Scheme actuary and employers to progress end-to-end administrative processes
- pension software testing, resolving faults and software maintenance
- maintaining internal and external databases.
The Person: we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enjoys working as part of a team and has a positive attitude. You will need:
- a higher level qualification eg two A levels (grade D or above) BTEC Diploma, NVQ Level 3 plus GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics (grades C or above) and two years’ experience of working with public and/or private sector pension; or
- a third level qualification eg degree (2:2 or above) plus GCSEs in English Language and Mathematics (grades C or above) and one year’s experience of working with public and/or private sector pension
- good knowledge of pension regulations and associated legislation.
