VANRATH are delighted to be assisting one of NI's most reputable employers with the Recruitment of a Logistics Specialsit to join a growing and dynamic team based at their Mallusk HQ.
Salary - £30,000 - £32,000 + Benefits Package
Flexible Start Times - 40 Hour week
Typically 8:15am start and Early Finish on Fridays.
Responsibilities:
- Logistics Coordination: Manage and oversee the transportation and delivery of finished products to customers across multiple locations, ensuring timely and efficient logistics operations.
- Inventory Oversight: Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to maintain optimal stock levels, minimising shortages and excess inventory.
- Shipping & Receiving Management: Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurately documented, labelled, and delivered on schedule, managing essential shipping documents like Bills of Lading and packing lists.
- Supplier & Carrier Relations: Work closely with external suppliers, freight forwarders, and transportation providers to negotiate competitive rates and ensure cost-effective, reliable services.
- Customer Collaboration: Partner with customer service and sales teams to provide accurate delivery details, manage customer expectations, and resolve any logistics-related inquiries or issues.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with local, national, and international transportation laws, including customs regulations and import/export standards.
- Shipment Tracking & Reporting: Monitor and track shipments, keeping stakeholders informed with regular updates. Generate and analyse performance reports to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve logistics issues such as delays, damaged goods, or incorrect shipments, serving as the escalation point for operational challenges.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to streamline logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance service quality through improved use of technology, resources, or vendor partnerships.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Promote and adhere to company health and safety policies, ensuring logistics activities are conducted safely and responsibly.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
