- THE ROLE -
Reporting to the Procurement Officer, the post holder will work closely with their line manager to gain a good understanding of processes and systems, after which the post holder will work with their own portfolio and support the team in delivering a sustainable procurement service for the University. The post holder will contribute to continued improvement to help the University achieve its overall objectives and achieving value for money through best procurement practices. The post-holder will benefit from funding that will be provided for the Chartered Institute of Procurement (CIPS) Level 4 qualifications.
- ABOUT YOU -
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above (or equivalent) to include English Language and Mathematics OR NVQ Level 2 in Business, Procurement (Supply Chain), or related subjects.
- Experience and knowledge of a wide range of IT systems, including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience of finding suitable solutions to problems and issues.
- Ability to plan and organise workloads in an efficient manner to meet standards and deadlines.
- Evidence of the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Evidence of the ability to work effectively and flexibly as part of a busy and dynamic team.
- Willingness to travel as required by the needs of the post.
