About the Role:
Our large facilities management client is looking for an Energy Engineering specialist, who will lead energy efficiency initiatives, ensure compliance with ISO 5 standards, and drive energy management and environmental reporting. This role plays a key part in helping us meet our sustainability goals and regulatory requirements. You will be working on the site of one of the most recognisable companies in NI in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
- Energy Management: Oversee a strong energy efficiency program that aligns with ISO 5 standards throughout the contract duration.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to UK and European regulations, including the UK Emissions Trading Scheme, Climate Change Agreements, SECR, and ESOS across all sites.
- Workshops & Engagement: Deliver energy awareness workshops for various departments and attend Environmental Working Group meetings to review energy performance.
- Reporting: Prepare energy and water reports, including monthly management summaries on consumption, costs, and carbon impact; bi-weekly risk notifications; monthly accruals; and compliance status updates.
- System Maintenance: Oversee the operation, maintenance, and development of M&T, BMS, eSight, and Trend systems to ensure robust data management.
- Meetings & Project Tracking: Lead weekly operational and monthly strategic meetings, developing and maintaining an energy project register.
- Permits & Compliance: Submit variations for permits and agreements and handle requests from regulatory bodies.
- Supplier Management: Support energy procurement and supplier management, including attending quarterly review meetings.
- Budget & SOP Management: Manage the energy and water budget, handle invoices, and develop and maintain SOPs for all energy-related activities.
Qualifications:
- Experience in energy management and compliance.
- Strong understanding of ISO 5 and relevant energy legislation.
- Proficient in data management and reporting systems such as eSight and Trend.
- Ability to lead workshops, manage supplier relationships, and track and report on energy projects effectively.
