2nd Line Support Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a Top 100 Company that is seeking to build out their on-site IT Team by adding a Second Line Support Engineer to the team.

This is a very hands-on role for someone eager to grow and develop their skills in new technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site, specialised 2nd line technical support and desktop and audio-visual hardware management.
• Serve as a representative of the IT department, providing professional and efficient service to colleagues.
• Act as a primary contact for technical issues, ensuring timely incident resolution.
• Liaise with third-party vendors for technical support and asset management.
• Meet service level agreements (SLAs) effectively.
• Follow company processes, including change and problem management.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation in line with updates and maintenance activities.
• Stay informed on current technology developments.
• Be available for unsocial hours when necessary.

Essential Skills

• Strong alignment with the company’s core values and competencies.
• At least 3 years of experience delivering, maintaining, and supporting IT systems both remotely and on-site, including project delivery.
• Experience with Microsoft products: Windows 10 & 11, Office 365, SCCM, and Intune.
• Knowledge of network routing, switching, and patching.
• Experience with VOIP telephony configuration and support.
• Proactive in implementing and documenting improvements.
