MCS Group are delighted to be partnering with this public sector organisation in their search for a temporary Learning & OD Business Partner.
The role
- Recruit, lead and develop staff to ensure they and any employees they are responsible for effectively manage their teams
- Implement and review training and development programmes for employees
- Implement the organisations people Strategy and associated Organisational development plan
- Assist in the management of a range of L&D and OD services in pursuit of value for money and best value in accordance with guidelines and policies
- Support the ongoing development of continuous L&D and OD Culture
- Manage and monitor L&D and OD projects to ensure effective and efficient completion
- Lead of the delivery and design of corporate culture change projects to build on employee and organisational performance across organisation including L&D, appraisals, employee engagement, reward and recognition and employability and skill initiatives
- Support in the implementation of a people and culture programme of work
- Contribute to development of policies, strategies and work plans to meet corporate objectives and values working in conjunction with management teams and corporate working groups as required
The Person
As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience:
Essential:
Possess a degree in Human Resource Management/Organisational Learning and Development or equivalent (EG CIPD level 5)AND
- CIPD Advanced Level HR Management (Level 7) or equivalent or have already commenced and are working towards this qualification
- OR Hold a current professional membership of MCIPD level or above
- 3 years’ functional experience in L&D or OD function including:
- Leading on corporate culture chance projects from initial development to final implementation
- Leading on Employee Engagement methods
- Maintaining, analysing, reporting and using statistical and performance information
- Cross departmental working on L&D or OD projects
Desirable:
- Post graduate in HR or equivalent
- 1 years’ experience working in a HR environment in local government
