About the role:
- Hourly Rate: £16.63 per hour
- Location: Craigavon
- Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week, Monday to Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
- Holidays: 35 days pro rata

Job purpose:
- To manage the planned Response section of the major Heating Contract and manage / co-ordinate the regions response heating inspectorate team. Also to assist the Senior Project Manager in the strategic delivery of an effective regional based heating programme.
Duties include:
- To ensure the response heating service is delivered in accordance with the NIHE's policies and procedures and develops these further on an on-going basis to ensure that legislation and best practice are met.
- Agree the annual, monthly, and weekly programmes including budgets with the Senior Project Manager. Oversee the administration of these programmes in conjunction with Staff / Contractor and report on progress.
- To authorise works instructions within designated approval levels.
- Evaluate operational systems and procedures to ensure a quality Planned Heating Response Maintenance Service is provided that will meet the needs of a growing organisation.
- Be responsible for establishing a pro-active approach to the management of health, safety, and welfare in accordance with the NIHE's Health and Safety policy.
Essential Criteria:
- Apprenticeship Level 3 Plumbing and Heating
PLUS
- Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant Mechanical and Electrical discipline plus at least 2 years' relevant post qualification experience
OR
- BTEC Higher Cert / Diploma or equivalent in a relevant Mechanical and Electrical discipline plus at least 3 years' relevant post qualification experience
OR
- Exceptionally, candidates not having the above level of qualification, but with 5 years' relevant experience may also be considered
AND
- Can demonstrate significant experience in at least 8 of the following competency areas
1. Responsibility for designated budgets and ensuring proper financial controls are in place, and that staff comply accordingly with the Heating planned maintenance contracts
2. The collection, analysis, and reporting of performance monitoring statistics detailing performance, quality, and cost data and related information if required
3. Producing, recording, and monitoring performance reports to ensure KPIs are achieved
4. The provision of technical advice and guidance on planned maintenance and contract related matters to a range of stakeholders
5. Implementation of policies, processes, and procedures for compliance
6. Monitoring and undertaking corrective action of implemented policies, processes, and procedures
7. Working knowledge of NEC 3 Suite of Contracts
8. Ensure that projects are properly managed and delivered in line with the agreed targets, standards, procedures
9. Working in a governance controlled environment where you have provided assurance to your organisation
10. Experience in identifying risks, helping maintain a risk register, and mitigating risk
11. Experience in contributing to a business plan and delivering to same
- Desirable criteria - Gas Safe: CCN1, Oftec: 101, 105, & 600
