Associates are pleased to be working on behalf of an established Accountancy
Practice with an immediate need for an experienced Payroll professional to join their team.
The successful
candidate will be required to provide administration for all aspects our of client’s payroll services
function, responsible for preparing and processing weekly and monthly payroll
for a wide range of clients ensuring accuracy and efficiency at all times.
Role overview:
·
Process weekly and monthly payrolls.
·
Preparing payroll for small, medium and large companies.
·
Pension administration (including auto enrolment processes and
submissions).
·
Maintain payroll processing system and records.
·
Process new starts, leavers and employee transfers.
·
Ensure that all statutory payments are calculated correctly.
·
HMRC reporting.
·
Preparation and submission of payroll BACS run.
·
Ad hoc duties as and when required.
Essential eligibility criteria:
·
Previous experience of payroll processing in a computerised
payroll environment.
·
Hold a recognised qualification in either Payroll or Accounting.
·
Good working knowledge of practical payroll matters and current
legislation.
·
Previous experience in an accountancy practice/payroll bureau is
desirable
·
Excellent IT skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
·
Attention to detail.
·
Good problem-solving and planning skills.
·
An ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·
Excellent time management skills.
