Job Purpose

Responsible for carrying out robust internal audits to schedule throughout the year to assess compliance with manufacturing standards and customer requirements and identify areas of continuous improvement and non-conformity. To manage the Internal audit Risk Assessment and Schedule and ensure both are updated to reflect new or updated codes of practice. Conduct internal systems and food safety audits for all Food Safety and Quality Standards according to the Internal Audit Schedule. Conduct programme of factory and hygiene audits, both scheduled and unscheduled across 4 manufacturing sites covering all shift patterns. To manage the Internal Audit Non-Conformance log, support with site investigations to identify root cause of non-compliance and ensure the effective close out of all non-compliances. To manage communication of audit performance including site factory audits for the sites. To identify procedures and processes which are not effective and work with the relevant team to improve these whilst maintaining compliance. Review customer and regulatory codes of practice to ensure continued compliance and make amends to audit schedules as required. To support sites on external customer, retailer and other 3rd party audits to make sure these are passed and site green status maintained. To support training and development of the factory QA teams. To support Raw material management and supplier auditing where required.

What it takes

The successful candidate will have completed an internal auditing qualification. Good attention to detail. Ability to work as part of a team. Strong individual who is willing to challenge team members on compliance.
