Requirements

  • Degree/diploma in Radiography or equivalent is essential
  • 2 years experience in similar role
  • Current professional membership required
  • Candidates will be subject to enhanced vetting including an enhanced Access NI check and compliance due to the nature of this work
  • Up to date Immunisation records to complete a full occupational health review
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective time management and prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced user-centric environment

Responsibilities

  • Undertaking scanning in a hospital setting
  • Deliver a service, which meets all organisational and professional responsibilities
  • Be familiar with, and adhere to, the SOR and HPC codes of professional conduct for Radiographers
  • Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, reporting any deficiencies, malfunctions, defects or occurrence which may affect safety to the Radiographer in Charge
  • Maintain a high level of safety to ensure all service users are kept safe
  • Demonstrate a high level of knowledge and understanding of radiography
  • Communicate effectively with patients and ensure there is an understanding of their condition
  • Promote and support effective team working, fostering a culture of openness and transparency
  • Support the service’s leadership team as required
