The Global Partnerships Assistant will report to the Global Compliance Manager. The post holder will undertake due diligence checks on University partners, collaborators, and other entities to support the University’s risk assessment process and to ensure compliance with governmental, institutional, and/or funder requirements, where necessary. In addition to supporting the University’s research due diligence process, the post holder will support the broader Research Security agenda and related legislation.
The post holder will be responsible for maintaining a centralized record for due diligence and other related matters that support the general research security agenda including, but not limited to, export control and the National Security and Investment (NSI) Act. They will coordinate the communication of supporting material to academic and professional support services colleagues, undertake assurance checks and monitor adherence to internal and external policies, procedures and guidance. The post holder will deliver a highly professional level of administration as the first point of contact for due diligence and Trusted Research related enquiries, and will assist with training responsibilities and preparation of report related to this area.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- An honours degree OR relevant academic or vocational qualifications e.g. 2 A-Levels at Grade D or above, orNVQ 3, or equivalent qualification.
- Significant relevant experience in a due diligence, compliance or related role.
- Experience of providing advice and guidance in response to customer enquiries in complex, technical areas.
- Demonstrable knowledge of relevant legislative frameworks and associated guidance within this Trusted Research agenda including due diligence, export control and NSI Act.
