PACT is an exciting new project in partnership with the Southern Health and Social Care Trust (SHSCT) which will support parents and carers of children and young people so they can understand and meet the needs of their child.

Strand 1: Supporting both parents and children in families where children have received a diagnosis of ADHD,

Strand 2: Supporting families with children aged 1-10 years for whom there are emerging needs linked to developmental delay/neurodiverstiy/speech delay etc.

We are seeking a Project Worker to support families and children by delivering workshops and through home visits providing person-centred support at an early stage.

We are seeking applications from individuals who have experience of the following:

• Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity of supporting parents/carers (Assessed at shortlisting)
• Experience in a paid or voluntary capacity of supporting children and young people. (Assessed at shortlisting)
• A Full driving licence and access to a car is essential for this role (or you must be able to demonstrate your ability to meet the mobility requirements of the post). If appointed must have appropriate business insurance. (Assessed at shortlisting)
• Knowledge of child development, including neurodiversity and its impact on children, young people and families (tested at interview)
• An understanding of the principles of safeguarding children and vulnerable people (tested at interview)

Location: Southern Health and Social Care Trust area. Office base - PosAbility, Towerhill, Armagh, BT61 9DR.

Hours: 30 hours per week. The service operates from Monday to Friday, with some Saturday workshops for young people. Morning and early evening work may be required on occasion. The service operates flexible working.

Contract type: This is a fixed term position up to 31st March 2025.

Salary: £23,868 - £29,172 FTE
