About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food production company in Newcastle, Co. Down. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment. As a key player in the maintenance team, you’ll ensure that all machinery operates at optimum efficiency, support continuous production, and work proactively to prevent breakdowns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues efficiently to minimise production downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to enhance system reliability and prevent breakdowns.
• Ensure that all equipment operates within safety and compliance standards.
• Collaborate with production teams to support consistent and continuous operations.
• Keep maintenance records up to date and maintain an organised workflow.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Proven experience in both electrical and mechanical maintenance, ideally in a food production environment.
• Experienced leading a team of maintenance engineers
• Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related technical field.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical repairs.
• Knowledge of health & safety practices in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
